Jack Trathen started his career as an apprentice joiner for a timber frame restoration company specializing in windmills, watermills, barns and churches.
Following his training and furthering his studies Jack worked his way up the career ladder through intermediate management both operational and commercial and up to various senior positions with large and international construction companies and developers.
Jack’s diverse and open-minded approach to the industry has given him the opportunity to work in many different sectors and for both individual clients up to construction giants. With experience of working both directly for ‘the client’ and ‘the contractor’.
Owning and running his own business was always a natural career route for Jack, he is very proud of the offering of Studland Homes and the approach we take to diversify and adapt to our client’s needs.
Stephen has 23 years in the construction industry, with a vast range of experience from design and build, new build, heritage, grade listed, renovation and commercial. As a carpenter and joiner by trade, Stephen worked on site for 11 years with his father before being trusted with 2 renovations in the Harrogate area. This led to further renovation management in Normanton, Yeadon, Guiseley, Wetherby.
A new £3.3m 7 home project with a mix of detached and semi-detached in Ripon was Stephens first new scheme with a new developer for the company. He was entrusted with the everyday running of the site including sourcing materials, labour management and introducing new suppliers. This site was finished on time, under budget and with greater profit margins than estimated. Multiple sites were then signed over with the new developer.
Stephen then expanded to Oxford on a £7m design and build project for a private client. Once again, the project was finished on time and within budget with multiple changes from a highly demanding client.
Stephen then worked his way up the ladder of the Yorkshire based construction company to Project manager. During this time, he has worked on many projects and built some of the most exclusive homes in the Yorkshire region.
Stephen has a vast network of suppliers and labour force. Paired with a keen eye for detail and a problem solving approach to work makes him ideal for any project old or new.
